When they opened our doors in 1936, their founder John Maynard Keynes believed that a trailblazing city deserved its own groundbreaking theatre. They stay true to his vision today and have reopened their doors following a significant capital redevelopment. Many generations of amazing performers, writers and producers have found their calling here. And as a part of a significant capital redevelopment to underpin their next chapter, they want to give courage, confidence and opportunity to the next. As an icon for the city we call home we were thrilled to be appointed to roll out a newly evolved brand identity, with precision, energy and wit. Our scope took in the redesign of the iconic seasonal programme to the design of new cast and crew uniform and building icons. It was a joy to apply the bold and thoughtful new identity as the theatre prepares to reopen and continue to share their gift with thousands more who will laugh, cry and discover a lifelong love of theatre here.
