Old Friends Brewery was a Cambridge-based brewery founded by two old friends who saw a gap in the UK’s burgeoning American–style craft beer scene for a local artisan product. OFB are two old friends united by their passion for brewing (and drinking) good beer.
Our focus was to create the brand identity for Old Friends that represents Jon and Tim's relationship and the beer they lovingly brew together, by using emotive language and the variety of expressions and feelings communicated by the OFB marque. It’s in–your–face, maybe even a little truculent, but it’s not apologetic about the enthusiasm and passion that the brewers bring to their product.
The beer was met with critical acclaim and taken on by local craft beer shops and multiple independent bars and restaurants. On their journey they created a Pale Ale, a Session Ale, and perhaps their crowning glory, a wonderful Milk Stout, before their day jobs became too demanding and they moved from brewing to simply drinking (responsibly).
