As a part of our appointment to design a new website for the college it became apparent that the existing brand identity was failing to express the essence of Emma, and how it is different from other colleges. We developed a narrative ‘with Emmanuel’ - collaborative, supportive and an incredibly flexible tool when used in messaging. It has fun at its heart, nurturing qualities and acted as a companion welcoming students as important members of the college family.
 
We built out an energetic colour palette from their historically significant pink which has fallen into the margins somewhat. Perhaps the most significant component of the identity was the newly designed roundel shedding its formal appearance, making it much more warmer, friendlier, and open to all. The final piece of the jigsaw was an approach to imagery that captured a moment in time often having a central focus to draw the eye.
 
With respect to the website the driver was a rationalisation of significant volumes of content, by developing a strong hierarchy and intuitive user journey, all embedded in a bold and energetic of the new brand.
